Response-2000 News
Oct 2011: 39,500 downloads. Membrane-2012 (note new name) is almost ready to be posted. Response-2012 should be done by early next year. Membrane-2012 is to be released first to correspond to an ACI paper being published in the Nov-Dec 2011 issue of the Structural Journal, and the paper notes that Membrane is ready, so I will put it up on the old website while the new one is under development. Stay tuned as there are many changes to Response being made. See the

April 19, 2001. New version of Response-2000 in development. Should include extensive bug fixes, support for biaxial moment, smarter and faster solution methods, support for non-prismatic sections and other varied. Number of downloads now exceeds 1800 users. Still waiting for a download from Antarctica.
September 15,2000. Number of downloads exceeds 1000 users on 6 continents
August 9, 2000. New release of Response-2000 Version 1.0.5. This version fixes a number of bugs that caused the program to crash on some systems
June 7, 2000. Fix bugs in installation process for program.
June 1, 2000. New Bug fix release of Response-2000. Version 1.0.1 contains same functionality as old version, but has a number of bugs fixed and runs almost twice as fast as the previous version (1.0.0). The bugs that were fixed were in data presentation and not ones that invalidated results from the old version of the program.

March 2, 2000. Membrane-2000 Version 1.0.0 updated on the m2k sister page to this page. Triax-2000 updated to version 1.0.0. Shell-2000 updated as well. See the References page to find links to these programs.
March 2, 2000. Final version of manual available. This manual consists of about 70 pages of information on how to use programs: Response-2000, Membrane-2000, Triax-2000, and Shell-2000. See the references section of this web site to find how to access the other programs.
February 28, 2000. Version 1.0 Released. After a development process of almost 4 years, Response-2000 has now reached Version 1.0 and is ready for download. Major changes from last version include working copy to clipboard, new M-V and N-V interaction diagrams. Program now can do a "full member response" which will calculate load-deflection relations for prismatic beams and show predicted crack patterns for entire beam. Many many bugs have been fixed as well from previous version.
February 11,2000. Number of downloads of Response-2000 exceeds 500 users.
November 4, 1999. Major changes. Initial manual of Response-2000 et al included on this web site. It will need serious changes to make it more friendly (now a very large download), but is available. Also, Program Triax-2000 and Shell-2000 also made available.
October 29, 1999. Experimental database now includes 534 beams, with same statistical behaviour as before (coincidentally), Average experimental over predicted shear strength of 1.05 with a coefficient of variation of 12 %.
