Welcome to Shell-2000

Shell-2000 is an easy to use analysis program that will calculate the load-deformation relationship for a general plate or shell subjected to any combination of the 8 loads that are possible for such an element. Shell-2000 is the first program to properly account for the out-of-plane shear distribution in a rigorous way. The program implements the Modified Compression Field Theory to arrive at solutions. The program was developed at the University of Toronto as part of the PhD thesis of Evan Bentz in a project supervised by Professor Michael P. Collins.
