Papers on the Modified Compression Field Theory and Methods Used:
The first reference in the list by Vecchio and Selby explains the secant stiffness method
used in Shell-2000 for arriving at solutions. Kirschner first did 3D analyses of shells with
the MCFT, and this was extended by Adebar. This is the first implementation to account for
the shear distribution in a rigourous way.
